Starting Platform
Designed and manufactured at Terma, the starting platform is used for easy and precise positioning of the piercing machine when making boreholes.
It is dedicated to piercing machines with larger diameters and weights such as MAX K130S, MAX K160S and MAX K180S.

The starting platform allows you to set the right direction before the mole digs into the ground. It can be especially helpful for making the first borehole or when the work is carried out in boggy, waterlogged and muddy ground.
The starting platform shall be placed in the starting pit and anchored with four long rods. The piercing machine shall be seated on the installed platform accordingly. When working in waterlogged soils, the platform, anchored to the soil, gives the machine more support and fixation. The height of the platform construction raises the mole about 20 cm above the level of the pit bottom.
The design of the starting platform allows easy adjustment of the angle at which the piercing machine enters the soil: +7° and - 5° in the vertical plane, and + 5° and - 5° in the horizontal plane. The range is entirely sufficient for correcting the machine's course and helps to perform accurate boring.
